The trippy audio-visual collaboration between producer Jesse Hackett (London) and artist Mariano Chavez (Chicago) as Teeth Agency has proved to be an enticing project, after witnessing the latest singles 'Many People' and 'Anon'. From the forthcoming album You Don't Have to Live in Pain, Teeth Agency have released a new single, 'Jesse / Eska Games', featuring Mercury Prize-nominated artist ESKA. Reminiscent of quirky 90s electronica like Boards of Canada and Schneider TM, the new single uses a driving analogue drum machine and snuggly synths. Harmonised vocals from ESKA declare, 'I amount to nothing at all', and go on to repeat the line 'No more living with a bottle of chemicals by my bed at night'. Violin and voice unite for the recurring evocative melody that underpins the song. The new album, brilliantly titled You Don't Have to Live in Pain, is out via Stones Throw on 12th March 2021. -Ellie Rose-Davies
